"The Five People You Meet In Heaven"
my mom has been nagging me to read this book, so the other day i finally sat down and read the book in one sitting. It was a really good book, lots of good quotations and definetly something that made you think about life in a different way. it brought up an interesting point about how everyone has a different story, but in the end each one comes together to make one main story. I don't wanna give away any details of the book because i suggest that everyone take the time to read it. it's a really short book, less than 200pages, and a very easy read. i just want to share a few quotes from the book, add to the theme of this page, which is "Some Food For Thought". so here they are:“Strangers are just family you have yet to come to know”pg49
“Sacrifice is a part of life. It’s supposed to be. It’s not something you regret. It’s something you aspire to. Little sacrifices. Big sacrifices. A mother works so her son can go to school. A daughter moves home to take care of her sick father.” Pg93
“Holding onto anger is a poison. It eats you from the inside. We think that hating is a weapon that attacks the person who harmed us. But hatred is a curved blade. And the harm we do, we do to ourselves.” Pg141
and lastly, one of my favourite ones:
“Lost love is still love. It takes a different form, that’s all. You can’t see their smile or bring them food or tousle their hair or move them around a dance floor. But when those senses weaken, another heightens. Memory. Memory becomes your partner. You nurture it. You hold it. You dance with it. Life has to end. Love doesn’t.” pg 173
